  • 3 Responses to a Smear Campaign

    Posted by Ronn / on 01/10/2014 / 0 Comments

We all know that haters are out there, and they will, without any doubt, hate. They hate success. They hate progress. They hate innovation. And, this hate inspires jealousy, and all it's ills. Eventually, some hater will try to smear your good name. How this will be done, and when it will come, will be a surprise.

But you don't need to react like you are surprised. Surprised reactions inspire mistakes, miscues, and missed opportunities. But, that doesn't mean you should just pretend it didn't happen. Ronn Torossian, CEO of 5WPR, offers three possible reactions to a negative, or attack ..

  • Kerry's MidEast Peace Plan Will Destroy Israel Piece By Piece

    Posted by Ronn / on 01/03/2014 / 0 Comments

Secretary of State, John Kerry is reportedly making offers, promises and guarantees in the Middle East. Media reports indicate that "Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has reportedly shot down a proposal by US Secretary of State John Kerry to maintain Israeli presence in the Jordan Valley for ten years following the signing of an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord." Kerry, is reportedly promising the Palestinians the Jordan valley, and "invisible" Israeli presence at the border crossings between the West Bank and Jordan. John Kerry offered and promised what? Does Kerry own the Jordan Valley?

In November, John Kerry visited Israel and pressured Israel, ..

  • ‘Hatufim’ is Better TV Than ‘Homeland’

    Posted by Ronn / on 12/27/2013 / 0 Comments

While I was an avid fan of the first season of hit TV show Homeland, it has seen a rapid decline since then. The second season was okay, and the third season was really not good. The world's most wanted terrorist sneaking into ‎Iran? A mentally unstable law enforcement agent who leads manhunts single-handedly?

As great as Claire Danes' acting is, the plot is thoroughly unbelievable - and at times unwatchable. That said, the show has won multiple Emmy and Golden Globes awards, and has certainly captivated the attention of TV audiences.

On the other hand, Gideon Raff, who created Homeland, ..

  • Russians are key to American Jewish continuity

    Posted by Ronn / on 12/19/2013 / 0 Comments

Yesterday, in what could be considered a modern-day miracle, hundreds of secular Jewish youth gathered for half a day to discuss Jewish issues, and learn history & culture from Orthodox Rabbis and educators. And more fascinating for anyone familiar with American Jewry is that this is an occurrence which occurs every single week - week after week - at the fellowship programs run by the largest Russian-American Jewish organization, Russian-American Jewish Experience (RAJE).

For the secular American Jewish community, which is withering, Russian American Jews are the sole bright spot in otherwise dismal demographic studies. They are the only community where intermarriage ..

  • The Media Uses Double Standards Against Israel

    Posted by Ronn / on 12/12/2013 / 0 Comments

Israel is so constantly subject to obscene double standards by the media that it reminds me of a touching scene from the movie Defiance, about Jewish partisans during the Holocaust, where the prayer leader begs of G-d, "Please, choose another people! We've run out of blood, so please choose another people."

When incidents that portray the truth about Israel as the victim, they are often ignored by the media. This past week, two incidents that occurred in Jerusalem received zero mainstream media coverage, outside of the Israel/Jewish-related media. If the shoe had been on the other foot, there would have been ..

  • Will Allegations of Drug Abuse Hurt Nigella Lawson’s Career?

    Posted by Ronn / on 12/05/2013 / 0 Comments

The celebrity chef has denied these claims in court. Will that be enough?

It hasn't been a good year for Nigella Lawson. First, the celebrity cook was photographed with then-husband, Charles Saatchi, outside a London restaurant in June, with his hands wrapped around her throat. He was later cautioned by police for assault - the following month she filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage. Then, during a fraud trial of the former couple's two personal assistants, an email from Saatchi surfaced claiming that Lawson was regularly "off her head on drugs." She's been tabloid fodder in Britain and the ..

  • ACLJ Says IRS Challenges Free Speech

    Posted by Ronn / on 11/29/2013 / 0 Comments

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), which is representing 41 organizations in a federal lawsuit challenging the IRS, said today the new regulations proposed by the IRS aimed at tax-exempt organizations places the free speech rights of Americans at even greater risk.

"These proposed new regulations put the First Amendment rights of Americans at even greater risk," said Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the ACLJ. "This is a feeble attempt by the Obama Administration to justify its own wrong-doing with the IRS targeting of conservative and Tea Party groups. Instead of holding those responsible for the unlawful targeting scheme ..

  • Torossian Asks Ultra-Orthodox Jews to Have Better Outreach

    Posted by Ronn / on 11/28/2013 / 0 Comments

Ronn Torossian, CEO of 5WPR penned an oped in Hamodia, the largest haredi daily newspaper in the world, which urged the community to make more of an effort in public relations matters. Here is some of it:

"I believe there are many reasons, among which is that not enough people see the many positive things the chareidi community does. Admittedly, bad things are more often news stories, yet every day so many in the chareidi community do good deeds which even people who are predisposed to be allies of the chareidim don't hear about. There are many reasons, but ..

  • Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Says No To Obamacare

    Posted by Ronn / on 11/23/2013 / 0 Comments

Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John D. Doak has determined that President Obama's administrative fix to the Affordable Care Act isn't needed in Oklahoma because consumers in both the individual and small group health insurance markets were offered early policy renewals.

"Thankfully, we worked with the insurance industry and stayed ahead of the curve on this latest Obamacare fiasco," said Doak. "By allowing early renewals, consumers were given the option of keeping their plan for a while longer or shopping for a new one. That decision benefitted Oklahoma consumers and avoided the massive cancellations happening in other states."

In addition to supporting consumer-friendly ..

  • Jay Sekulow & ACLJ Vow To Sue If Obamacare Not Delayed

    Posted by Ronn / on 11/22/2013 / 0 Comments

The time for half-measures is over. The Obama Administration can't restore millions of canceled insurance policies, it can't fix fast enough to cover the gap, and it's leaving millions of Americans not just uninsured but also in violation of federal law - through no fault of their own.

This is intolerable, and it's unconstitutional. Jay Sekulow & the ACLJ have prepared litigation, a case ready to be filed that will block the Administration from imposing its unconstitutional penalties on the American public.

Join us as we present the Obama Administration with our clearest and simplest demand yet.

    Petition to Delay the ..
